[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 6월 9일 한국수자원공사 양주수도지사는 양주시 회천노인복지관 대강당에서 양주시 회천노인복지관에 후원금을 전달했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 후원금은 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고, 문화적으로 소외된 어르신들의 문화복지 향상을 위해 마련된 것으로, 양주시 거주 어르신들의 문화행사지원을 위해 사용 될 예정이라고 말했다.

양주수도지사 인장환 지사장은 “코로나19로 답답함과 정서적 어려움을 겪는 양주시 어르신들이 많다고 생각되어, 어르신들의 문화복지 향상을 위하여 직원들의 마음을 담아 후원금을 전달하기로 하였다. 추후에도 양주시 회천노인복지관과 임직원 자원봉사활동 등 다양한 활동을 통해 양주시 어르신들에게 다가갈 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 소감을 전했다. 

양주시 회천노인복지관 주민정 관장은 “지역 어르신들의 어려움에 공감하고 소중한 뜻을 함께하여 주신 한국수자원공사 양주수도지사 인장환 지사장님을 비롯하여 임직원분들께 진심으로 감사드리며, 후원금으로 복지관 내 어르신들을 위한 문화행사를 위해 소중하게 사용하겠다” 며 소감을 밝혔다. 

한편 한국수자원공사 양주수도지사는 지역사회에서 지속적인 후원·자원봉사 활동을 꾸준히 진행하여 왔으며, 이번 후원금은 양주시 어르신들의 문화복지향상을 위해 사용 될 예정이라고 말했다.
