[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 양주시 회천4동 지역사회보장협의체는 복지사각지대 취약계층에 저렴한 비용으로 미용비를 지원해주는 ‘멋진 날, 멋진 나’ 사업을 실시한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 사업은 마을복지 지원 사업의 일환으로 2020년 연합모금 사업에서 마련된 모금액과 사회복지공동모금회의 매칭지원금으로 옥정동 소재 헤어콜 미용실과 협약을 맺어 추진된다고 했다. 

협의체는 복지사각지대 취약계층을 선정해 미용비를 지원하고 협약을 맺은 미용실에 기존 금액보다 저렴하게 연합모금예산으로 미용비를 지불한다고 했다. 

최귀숙 공동위원장은 “코로나19로 자영업자분들이 많이 힘든 시기인데도 봉사활동에 적극 동참해 준 헤어콜 원장님께 감사하다”고 말했다.

이기호 동장은 “어렵고 힘든 삶을 사시느라 자신을 돌보고 가꿀 시간이 없으셨던 어르신들께 멋진 하루를 선사해드리고 싶다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 사업을 통해 행복한 회천4동 만들기에 앞장서겠다”고 전했다.
