[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 21일 양주시는 스마트시대에 발맞춰 21세기 양주농업을 선도할 전문농업인 육성을 위한 BIO농업대학 입학식을 온라인으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 지난해에 이어 온라인 채널을 활용해 과정별로 출석체크를 하고 BIO농업대학 경과보고, 입학식사, 축사, 특강 영상을 입학생들이 자택에서 스마트폰과 PC를 통해 시청할 수 있도록 했고, 온라인 입학식에는 생활원예과 36명, 소득작물과 45명, BIO 대학원 과정인 농산물가공과 33명으로 총114명이 참석했다고 전했다.

앞서 양주시는 지난 4월 16일 비대면 입학식을 대비해 신입생을 대상으로 인터넷 커뮤니티를 활용한 온라인 예비소집을 진행하고 출석체크, 건강상태 자가진단, 화상회의 시스템 활용, IT취약계층 여부 확인 등 철저한 사전점검을 통해 온라인 입학식을 준비했다고 전했다.

입학식사에서 조학수 부시장은 “2021학년도 한해 배움에 대한 열정으로 새로운 도전을 시작하는 모든 분을 응원한다”며 “새롭고 알찬 지식과 정보를 많이 습득해 양주시 농업의 경쟁력 향상과 지역 발전 도약에 큰 기여를 해주시기를 바란다”고 당부했다.
