[김현우 기자 = 양주] 양주시가 주·정차 금지구역 등 도로변 시설물에 다목적 불법광고물 부착 방지 시트를 설치했다고 밝혔다.

다목적 불법광고물 부착 방지 시트는 불법광고물 부착을 방지하고 불법 주·정차 및 쓰레기 무단투기를 예방하는 등 다목적으로 활용하기 위해 개발했다.

양주시는 주·정차금지구역을 비롯한 어린이보호구역, 쓰레기 무단투기 금지구역 내 가로등, 신호등, 표지판, CCTV 등 도로변 시설물 241개소에 다목적 불법광고물 부착 시트 설치를 완료했다.

불법광고물 부착 방지 시트에 ‘주·정차 금지’라는 글자를 표기, 관내 주·정차 금지구역에 적용한 것은 양주시가 전국 최초로 불법 주·정차 근절과 사고 예방에 기여할 것으로 전망된다. 

또한 시인성이 뛰어난 불법광고물 부착 방지 시트는 시민들이 쉽게 주·정차 금지구역, 어린이보호구역, 쓰레기 무단투기 금지 구간임을 인지하도록 유도, 불법행위를 사전 차단함은 물론 현수막 및 표지판 제작을 줄여 예산을 절감하는 일석이조의 효과를 거둘 것으로 예상된다.

특히, 도안 및 설치 구간 검토 등을 청소행정과, 차량관리과, 도로과 등 관련부서와 양주2동 리빙랩프로젝트팀과 협업해 민·관 협업 모델을 구축한 사례로 타 지자체에 우수모델 전파·확산이 가능하다.

양주시는 2023년에는 사업영역을 확대하여 노인보호구역, 금연구역 등 에도 설치할 계획이다.

양시 관계자는 “ 이번 설치로 청결한 도시미관 조성은 물론 아동 교통안전 확보, 불법 주·정차, 쓰레기 무단투기 예방 등 일석 사조의 효과를 거둘 것으로 예상된다”며 “불법 광고물을 연중 수시로 정비해 안전하고 쾌적한 양주시를 만들도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
