[김현우 기자 = 양주] 양주시는 오는 25일과 26일 이틀간 여성일생활균형센터 4층 다목적실에서 ‘2022 양주시 반려동물 문화교실 토크콘서트’를 운영한다고 밝혔다.

(사)한국반려동물문화산업협회 주관으로 진행하는 이번 토크콘서트는 반려동물 인구 1,500만 시대를 맞아 성숙한 반려동물 문화의 정착을 위해 반려동물 소유자를 대상으로 진행된다.

오는 25일에는 서정대학교 동물보건과 조윤주 교수와 AAAT 대표 이순영 교수와 함께 ‘생애주기에 따른 돌봄과 펫에티켓’, ‘반려견 시기별 트레이닝과 관리’에 대한 강의가 진행된다.

또한, 26일에는 이삭애견훈련소 대표 이웅종교수와 sbs동물농장과 ebs 세나개에 출연하는 조우재 수의사를 초빙해 ‘매너 100점과 바른 산책 노하우’와 ‘노령견 건강관리 및 펫로스증후군’에 관한 강의가 이어진다.

토크콘서트에 참여를 희망하는 시민은 양주시청 홈페이지 또는 포스터 QR코드를 통해 신청할 수 있으며 다만 반려동물과 동반입장을 불가능하다.

양주시 관계자는 “이번 토크콘서트를 통해 늘어나는 양주시민과 반려동물 인구에 따른 성숙한 반려동물 문화가 정착되고 개정·보완되는 동물보호법을 숙지하고 함께 동물보호와 생명존중 의식 제고를 통해 반려인과 비반려인이 조화로운 양주, 유기동물 없는 양주가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
