[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 깨끗하고 건강한 외식환경 조성을 위해 음식점 위생등급제 지정을 확대·운영하며 지정업소에 상하수도 요금 지원 등을 실시할 예정이라고 밝혔다.

음식점 위생등급 지정 제도는 안전한 먹거리 확보를 위해 식품접객업소의 위생수준을 평가해 등급(매우우수, 우수, 좋음)을 부여하는 제도로 영업자가 신청하면 한국식품안전관리인증원에서 평가한다.

지정된 업소는 지정서와 표지판, 2년간 위생 점검 면제, 배달앱과 홈페이지를 통한 홍보 등의 혜택을 제공받으며, 10월부터 월 10,000원씩 연 12만원의 상하수도 요금을 추가로 지원받는다.

음식점 위생등급제 지정을 희망하는 업소는 ‘식품안전나라’홈페이지에서 온라인으로 신청하거나 양주시 위생과로 우편, 팩스, 방문해 신청하면 되고, 위생등급 및 상하수도 요금 지원 신청방법 등 자세한 내용은 양주시 보건소 홈페이지 또는 위생과로 문의하면 된다.

양주시 관계자는 “위생등급 지정업소에 인센티브를 확대∙실시함으로써 영업자의 참여 동기를 진작시키고, 양주시민이 안심할 수 있는 안전하고 깨끗한 외식환경이 조성될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
