[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 2022년 주민참여예산 제안사업을 확정하기 위해 예산참여시민위원회 총회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

지난 13일 시청 대회의실에서 개최된 총회는 지난 2월부터 5월까지 시민 제안 사업공모를 통해 접수한 제안사업 80건 중 25건 총1,557백만원의 사업을 최종 선정했다.

앞서 위원회는 지난 9월 2일과 14일 예산참여시민위원회 분과회의를 열고 사업공모를 통해 접수된 총 80건의 주민 제안사업을 자치주민분과와 지역도시분과 등 분과별로 나눠 각 사업의 타당성, 효율성 등을 검토한 바 있다.

이번에 선정된 사업은 2023년 양주시 본예산안에 반영되며 시의회 심의를 통해 오는 12월 최종 확정 시 예산편성을 거쳐 추진될 예정이다.

양주시 관계자는 “주민참여예산제에 적극 참여해주신 시민들과 예산이 효율적이고 투명하게 집행될 수 있도록 항상 관심과 애정을 가져주시는 예산참여시민위원회 위원들께 감사드린다”며 “시민의 제안으로 이뤄진 사업인 만큼 예산에 반영되고 실현될 수 있도록 노력을 기울이겠다”고 말했다.
