[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군 지역사회보장협의체는 지난 22일부터 23일까지 1박 2일간 동해시 소재 ‘동해 무릉 건강숲’에서 가평군 사회복지현장에서 종사하고 있는 사회복지시설 및 기관 종사자들의 역량강화와 시설 간 네트워크를 확장하고자 제7회 가평군 사회복지관련 종사자 처우개선 워크숍을 진행했다고 전했다.  

가평군 사회복지관련 종사자 처우개선 워크숍은 2016년부터 사회복지종사자 처우 향상을 위해 시작됐으며, 2021년에는 코로나-19 확산으로 진행하지 못했고, 올해는 1년 이상 사회복지시설 및 기관에서 근무하고 있는 종사자 20명이 참석했다.

유근웅 대표위원장은 ‘현장을 지키는 사회복지관련 종사자들이 있어 가평군의 복지가 발전하고 복지사각지대 발굴·지원에 큰 도움이 되는 만큼 워크숍을 지속 추진하여 사회복지관련 종사자의 노고에 보답하겠다.’고 말하며 참가자들을 격려했다.

박성규 복지정책과장도 출발 전 참여자들을 배웅하며 ‘코로나 19 상황 속에서도 현장에서 적극적으로 일해 주신 사회복지관련 종사자분들에게 감사의 말씀을 드리며, 이번 워크숍이 향후 업무 추진을 함에 있어 도움이 되는 시간이 되시길 바란다’고 말했다.
