[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 지난 26일 경기섬유종합지원센터에서 ‘양주시민아카데미’명사 초청 강연을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

대면 행사로 진행한 이번 아카데미는 사회적 거리두기가 완화되면서 시민들의 문화적 욕구에 대한 갈증을 해소하고, 인문학적 소양과 정서 함양을 위해 마련한 명사 초청 강연이다.

이날 강수현 양주시장, 정성호 국회의원, 박재용 경기도의원, 한상민 시의회 부의장, 시 관계자, 시민 등 총 150여명이 참석했다.

강연은 ‘민주시민을 위한 인문학, 몸에서 자연으로 마음에서 우주로’를 주제로 ‘조선에서 백수로 살기’의 저자인 고미숙 작가(고전평론가)가 진행했다.

강수현 양주시장은 “지속적인 민주시민 아카데미를 통해 시민들이 일상의 행복을 찾고, 새로운 삶의 가치를 발견할 수 있도록 적극 지원하는데 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
