[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시 승마장에서 지난 28일 한국마사회 주관 기승능력인증제(KHIS)가 시행됐다고 전했다.

양주시에 따르면 이번에 시행된 기승능력인증제는 6등급과 7등급으로 양주시 승마장에서 한국마사회에 인증제 시행 신청을 한 결과 승마장 규격 등 조건이 충족돼 이뤄졌다.

기승능력인증제는 한국마사회가 국내 말 산업 표준화를 위해 기승자의 기승 능력 및 말과 승마에 대한 이해 등을 종합적으로 평가, 단계별로 등급을 부여하는 인증제도이다.

인증과정은 양주시 승마장 회원과 인근 승마인들을 대상으로 한국마사회 지원 외부위원이 심사위원으로 참여해 필기시험과 구술, 비기승 실기, 기승 실기로 진행, 시험합격자에게는 한국마사회에서 기승능력인증서(7등급, 6등급)를 지급한다.

양주시 관계자는“이번 양주시 승마장에서의 한국마사회 기승능력인증제 시행으로 승마 인구 저변확대에 도움이 됐으면 한다”며 “앞으로 더 많은 시민이 승마를 접하게 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
