[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도는 중소벤처기업부가 주관하는 2022년 ｢메이커스페이스* 구축․운영｣ 사업에 강원도립대학교가 전문랩으로 최종 선정되었다고 밝혔다.

* 메이커스페이스란: 창작 공간이란 뜻으로, 3D모델 파일과 다양한 재료들로 소비자가 원하는 사물을 즉석에서 만들어 낼 수 있어, 굴뚝 없는 제조업이라 칭함(제조 패러다임 전환) 

지난 3월 31일, 중소벤처기업부가 발표한 공모 선정결과에 따르면  총 전문랩 10개소, 특화랩 15개소가 최종 선정됐다고 전했다. 

전문랩은 시제품 제작 등 전문적인 창작활동을 비롯하여 기존 창업 인프라를 연계한 사업화 지원 및 지역 메이커운동 확산을 위한 거점 기능을 수행하고, 2년 간 최대 50억 원이 지원되며, 매년 운영성과 평가에 따라 차년도 예산이 차등 지원될 예정이라고 했다.

특히, 올해 선정된 강원도립대학교 산학협력단은 지역 연계 디지털 제조 창업 활성화를 위하여, 고수준 제조전문 인력양성을 통한 지역 일자리를 창출하고, 메이커 스페이스에서 초도물량 생산과 양산까지 가능한 시스템을 구축하며, 창업자 마켓 성공진입을 위한 관리 플랫폼을 구축할 예정이라고 했다.

한편, 강원도는 현재까지 전문랩 1개소, 일반랩 10개소가 선정되어 창업활동을 지원하고 있다고 전했다.

박광용 강원도 기업지원과장은 “도 역점사업인 4차 산업에 연계접목하여, 강원도 제조창업 촉진과 메이커 문화 확산을 선도해 나갈 것이다”라고 밝혔다.
