[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도립대학교 총장 전찬환은 지역주민들의 4차산업혁명 대응 관련 기술 분야의 역량 향상을 위해 “2022년 도깨비 메이커톤” 행사를 기획했다고 전했다.

(메이커톤: 만들다(make)+마라톤(marathon)합성어, 아이디어부터 제작까지 진행하는 행사)

이번 도깨비 메이커 톤은 도깨비가 방망이를 휘두르면 무엇이든 만들어 낼 수 있는 것처럼, 지역주민들이 메이커스페이스를 통해 상상하는 무엇이든 만들 수 있는 기회가 되기를 바라는 마음으로 기획한 행사라고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 지난 2월 9일까지 온라인 접수를 통해 선착순 15팀을 선발하고, 2월 19일 9시 본 행사를 치르게 되고, 더불어 행사 주제인 사물인터넷(IOT)에 대해 일주일간(2022. 2. 14.~18.) 사전 교육과 체험을 미리 할 수 있도록 교육 영상과 체험 키트를 참가자 전원에게 무료로 배포할 예정이라고 했다. 

지역주민 누구나 교육에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 제공하며, 더불어 스스로 공부할 수 있도록 Flipped Learning 기반의 자기주도형 학습으로, 질의응답은 멘토지원팀에서 실시간 대응할 예정이라고 전했다. 

전찬환 총장은 강원도립대학교가 공립대학으로서 4차산업혁명 대응 지역거점센터로서의 역할을 통해 지역주민들의 교육 스펙트럼 확장과 남녀노소 누구나 다양한 계층의 참여로 세대 간 소통의 벽과 문화적인 간격을 허물 수 있는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다고 포부를 밝혔다.
