[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 17일 포천시는 시청 대회의실에서 ‘포천 뉴딜 전략사업 계획수립 연구용역’ 최종보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 보고회에는 심창보 포천부시장을 비롯해 뉴딜 전문가, 시청 국·과장급 공무원, 읍·면·동장 등이 참석해 포천 뉴딜 전략사업 세부사업과 우선 순위사업 등 청취하고 추진방향을 집중 논의했다고 전했다.

포천시는 정부의 뉴딜 2.0에 발빠르게 대응하고 포천형 뉴딜 사업 발굴과 세부전략을 수립하고자 지난 6월 연구용역에 착수했고, 연구용역은 부서장과의 면담, 시민 설문조사, 뉴딜TF팀 회의, 자문위원회 면담을 거쳐 포천 여건에 맞는 실전형 사업들을 발굴하는 것에 초점을 맞췄다고 했다.

‘새로운 가치로의 전환, 함께 꾸는 포천의 미래’라는 비전 아래 포천의 6개 우선사업으로 디지털 분야의 포천형 드론 특화도시 조성사업과 스마트 감염병 관리시스템 구축사업, 그린 분야에 경기북부 K-가축방역센터 중심 스마트축산 ICT확산, 수소형 바이모달 트램도입과 메가스테이션 구축, 휴먼분야에 AI 로봇을 활용한 어르신 케어 서비스, 악취민원 신속대응 관리사업 등을 선정했으며, 54개의 세부사업을 선제적으로 추진할 계획이라고 했다.

심창보 부시장은 “포천형 뉴딜 사업을 통해 스마트 도시로의 전환, 친환경 신재생에너지 도시구현, 함께 누리는 복지도시를 만들어 갈 수 있도록 우리 모두가 관심을 갖고 노력을 기울여야 한다.”라고 당부하며 “양질의 뉴딜사업을 추진해 포천의 경쟁력과 시민 삶의 질을 높이겠다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 정부는 올해 7월 뉴딜 2.0을 통해 2024년까지 총사업비 220조원, 2022년 국비 30조원 수준의 투자계획을 발표한 바 있다고 밝혔다.
