[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 2일 양주시는 인사혁신처 주관 제7회 ‘대한민국 공무원상’ 공모에서 양주시 소속 이대호 정보통신팀장이 근정포장 수상자로 선정되는 영예를 안았다고 밝혔다. 

‘국민안전 개선’ 부문 대통령 근정포장을 수상한 이대호 팀장은 전국 최초로 사물인터넷을 활용해 국가 중요 기반시설 및 공공시설물의 보안을 획기적으로 개선하고 1인 여성가구 범죄예방 플랫폼과 CEPTEP(범죄예방환경디자인) 기반 범죄예방 시스템을 구축하는 등 사회안전망 강화를 위해 노력한 점을 높이 평가받았다고 했다.

또한 CCTV를 활용한 폭염 영향예보 음성 서비스와 치매노인 세대에 대한 부모안심 사물인터넷 서비스 제공하는 등 취약계층 시민의 안전 확보를 위해 다양한 정책을 추진한 공로를 인정받았는데, 특히 이대호 팀장은 쟁쟁한 중앙부처 출신 공무원이 즐비한 이번 훈ㆍ포장 수상자 가운데 유일한 지방공무원이라는 점에서 탁월한 정책성과를 대외적으로 알리고 양주시의 위상을 드높이는 중추적 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다고 전했다.

‘대한민국 공무원상’은 인사혁신처에서 국가와 국민을 위해 헌신·봉사하고 적극적인 업무수행으로 우수한 공적을 세운 현장실무 공무원을 선발·포상하고 인사상 우대함으로써 능력과 성과 중심의 공직문화를 정착시키기 위해 시상하는 상으로 올해 7회째 맞이했다고 밝혔다.

인사혁신처는 지난 3월 국민과 중앙행정기관, 지방자치단체로부터 총 247명의 후보자를 추천받아 예비심사와 공개검증, 국민평가, 본심사 등의 심사 과정을 거쳐 수상자를 선정했고, 후보자 추천부터 심사, 검증 등 전 과정에 국민이 참여하는 국민평가단의 평가 결과를 반영한 국민체감형 수상자를 선정했으며, 올해는 일자리 창출 등 경제 활성화, 사회적 가치 실현, 국민안전 개선, 인재양성 등 4개 분야에서 훈장 3명, 포장 9명, 대통령표창 23명, 국무총리표창 25명 등 총 36개 기관 우수 공무원 60명을 선정, 훈·포장 등을 수여했고, 수상자에게는 특별승진·승급, 상과상여금 최고등급, 평정시 가점, 교육훈련 우선선발 등 인사상 특전이 한 가지 이상 부여된다고 했다.

한편 이대호 정보통신팀장은 제102회 정보통신기술사 시험에 전국 수석으로 합격한 정보통신 분야 전문가로 공공서비스에 ICT를 접목해 지역사회 안전을 위한 행정서비스를 선제적으로 발굴·적용하기 위해 항시 노력하고 있으며 직원들의 권익향상과 처우개선을 위해 지난해 설립한 양주시공무원노동조합 초대 위원장으로 활동하고 있다고 밝혔다
