당선작은 공간이용의 적정한 배분에 따른 효율적인 동선계획과 간결하고 세련된 입면계획 등이 우수하다는 평가를 받았는데, 특히 내·외부 공간의 계획성, 동선, 기능배분 타당성을 갖추고 있어 시설물 주 이용자인 지역 엘리트 운동선수들이 기본기와 경기력 향상 등을 위한 훈련에 전념할 수 있는 체육 환경으로 적합하다는 분석이라고 전했다.

당선작 출품 업체인 건축사사무소 ‘제이에스디자인’에는 실시설계용역권이 부여되며 입상한 1팀에게는 소정의 상금이 시상된다고 했다.
