[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 30일 포천시는 성별영향평가제도 운영 및 개선 등에 관한 사항을 심의 조정하기 위한 성별영향평가위원회를 구성하고 위촉장을 수여했다고 밝혔다.

성별영향평가는 법령, 사업 등 주요 정책을 수립·시행하는 과정에서 성별의 차이가 차별되지 않도록 성별에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 정책개선에 반영하는 제도라고 전했다.

이날 회의에서는 신규 공약사업, 청년, 일자리, 안전영역 등 시정 주요사업을 대상으로 2021년 성별영향평가 대상 사업 25건을 선정하는 등 포천시 특성에 맞는 대상 과제 선정을 위해 열띤 토론이 펼쳐졌고, 선정된 사업에 대해 정책개선 이행 점검 및 사후관리를 통해 실효성 있는 정책 실현을 위해 노력할 것을 약속했다고 밝혔다.

박윤국 포천시장은 “앞으로 모든 행정에 있어 성차별적 요소를 개선하여 여성, 아동, 장애인, 어르신 등 포천시민 모두에게 평등한 정책을 펼쳐 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
