[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 5일 양주시 백석읍 지역사회보장협의체는 기부 받은 물품을 판매하고 나누는 ‘희망파라솔’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 각 가정에서 사용하지 않는 물품이나 식재료를 필요한 가정에서 사용할 수 있도록 이웃 간 나눔의 장을 제공하기 위해 기획했다고 했다. 

행사 물품은 관내 주민들이 사용하지 않은 50여종 생활용품과 마을복지사업에 동참을 희망하는 독지가들의 기부로 오이, 호박, 감자, 계란 등 식재료 등으로 마련했다고 했다.

이날 행사를 통한 판매 수익금 80여만 원은 2022년 백석읍 마을복지사업에 사용될 예정이라고 전했다. 

김길영 공동위원장은 “우리 지역의 주민들이 어려운 이웃에 관심을 갖고 이웃과 함께 나누는 활동에 적극 동참해주셔서 감사하다”며 “판매한 수익금은 내년도 마을복시사업에 잘 사용 하겠다”고 말했다.

고윤구 백석읍장은 “우리 마을 주민들을 위해 나눔을 실천해 주는 지역사회보장협의체 위원들과 협조해주신 주민들에게 감사하다”며 “희망과 활력을 불어넣어 행복하고 살기 좋은 백석읍으로 거듭나도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
