[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군이 노후주택을 대상으로 상수도관 개량비용을 지원하는 등 깨끗하고 안정적인 수돗물 공급에 나선다고 19일 밝혔다. 

가평군은 수도관에서 녹물이 나오거나 수돗물이 수질기준에 적합하지 않은데도 수도관 교체비 또는 관 세척비를 감당하기 어려워 어쩔 수 없이 흐린 물을 먹을 수밖에 없는 가정 등을 대상으로 사업비 4,800만원을 들여 상수도관 개량비용을 지원하기로 했다.

지원대상은 20년 이상된 노후주택 중, 면적이 130㎡이하인 세대로, 지원금액은 주택면적에 따라, 표준 총 공사비 범위 내에서 차등 지원된다.

면적 60㎡이하는 90%, 85㎡이하는 80%, 130㎡이하는 30%가 지원돼 공동주택 공용배관의 경우는 세대별 최대 60만원, 옥내급수관은 180만원까지 받을 수 있다. 

사업 참여희망자는 군 상수도사업소로 방문 신청하면 된다. 신청은 예산 소진시까지 받을 예정이다.

이와 함께 군은 지하수 부족 및 고갈 우려지역에 지방상수도 급․배수관로를 설치해 주민들에게 생활용수의 안정적 공급기반을 마련키로 했다.

사업대상은 상면 연하리 안먹골 및 봉수리, 설악면 신천리, 북면 소법1리, 조종면 현5리, 설악면 창의리 및 신천2리 등 7개소 6.9km 구간에 상수관로가 매설되고, 사업비는 5억5000여만 원이 투입될 예정이다.

가평군은 지난해에도 가평읍 개곡2리, 상면 항사리 및 행현1리 등 3개소 4.42km 상수관로 매설공사를 완료했으며, 가평읍 하색2리, 상면 덕현리, 임초2리, 연하리 기와집골 등 4개소 14.92km 구간을 착공 진행중에 있다. 

가평군 관계자는 “깨끗한 수돗물을 공급하더라도 옥내급수 설비가 노후되어 있으면 최종공급지인 수도꼭지에서는 녹물 등이 발생하고 누수발생 가능성이 생겨 수도요금 부담이 커질 수 있다”며 “이번 개량공사비 지원으로 맑은 물이 각 가정에 공급되는 등 생활환경이 개선될 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다.
