[김현우 기자 = 강릉] 강릉시 보건소는 의료취약지역 만성질환자 관리를 위한 ‘건강매니저 사업’을 새롭게 추진한다고 22일 밝혔다.

‘건강매니저 사업’은 보건지소·진료소에서 환자를 기다리는 진료 중심의 의료행정에서 벗어나 의료취약지역의 소외된 환자들을 직접 찾아가는 개별 맞춤형 의료서비스를 제공한다.

대상자는 의료취약지역의 보건지소·진료소 구역 내 경로당 이용자 및 거동이 불편한 주민 중 만성질환을 가진 사람이다. 

특히, 만성질환자 중 투약 관리가 어렵거나 혈압, 혈당이 조절되지 않는 주민에게는 주 2~3회 유선이나 가정방문을 통하여 지속적으로 관리할 계획이다. 

또한, 보건지소‧진료소의 활성화를 통해 지역주민의 접근성을 높여 자가 건강관리 실천 능력을 향상시키고 맞춤형 관리 및 프로그램 제공을 통해 삶의 질을 개선할 것으로 기대된다.

특성화된 건강 프로그램이 필요한 경우에는 보건소 내 운동처방실, 구강보건센터, 치매안심센터와 더불어 정신건강복지센터, 중독관리통합지원센터 등과 연계·협력하여 5~10명 소규모 그룹을 대상으로 하는 다양한 프로그램을 운영할 예정이다. 

강릉시 관계자는 “이번 사업을 통해 긴 코로나19로 그간 소외되었던 분들이 자신의 건강행태를 확인하여 스스로 만성질환을 예방하고 관리할 수 있는 계기가 되길 바란다”며, “자세한 사항은 보건행정과로 문의하면 된다”고 말했다.
