[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시(시장 이상호)는 시정혁신과 제안제도의 고품질화를 위해 2023년부터 공무원 제안제도를 혁신적으로 개선 추진하여 시민들에게 도움이 되는 제안은 적극 실현 할 것 이라고 밝혔다.

최근 3년간 일반 공모전과 해커톤 등을 통하여 제안된 아이디어는 81건에 이르렀으나 일시적이며 제한된 기간으로 충분한 준비기간이 부족해 정책에 바로 반영되지 못하는 문제점이 있었다.

이에 태백시는 공무원 공모전, 해커톤, 업무보고회 제안 등으로 나누어져 있는 제안제도를 보완해 통합 운영함으로써 직원들의 업무부담을 경감하고 충분한 기간 부여로 높은 완성도를 이룬다는 것이다.

일시 및 단기적으로 이루어지는 제안 공모를 1개월간의 접수기간과  5개월 동안 관련 전문가 조언, 명사 강연, 벤치마킹, 워크숍 개최 등을 진행하며 수준 높은 결과물은 물론, 소속 직원들의 자발적이고 능동적인 참여를 이끌 계획이다.

태백시 관계자는 “행정혁신의 일환으로 공무원 제안제도를 개선하여 시민들에게 도움이 되는 정책이 발굴되면 사장되지 않고 적시에 실현될 수 있도록 할 것”이라며 “시민들의 삶에 도움이 될 수 있도록 각종 제도를 지속적으로 정비 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
