[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 민주화 투쟁 단체의 후신인 민산(民山)특별위원회가 민주주의와 사회 공정의 회복을 위해 김은혜 국민의힘 경기도지사 후보를 지지한다고 밝혔다.

지난 5월 22일 국민의힘 경기도당사에서 민사특별위원회 경기도지부 회원일동은 “김은혜 후보는 공정과 상식으로 경기도 정상화, 경기도 발전을 이뤄낼 적임자”라며 지지를 선언했다. 

이들은 지지선언문을 통해 김은혜 후보를 준비된 후보라며 “‘삼풍백화점 붕괴의 진실을 밝힌 언론인’, ‘국민의 마음 녹인 청와대 대변인’, ‘국민과 함께한 문제해결 국회의원’, ‘대통령 당선인 대변인’ 등으로 활동하며 능력이 검증된 일꿈”임을 역설했다. 

또한 “정권교체의 완성은 특히 가장 인구가 많은 경기도에서의 승리로 이뤄진다고 믿는다”면서 김은혜 후보 당선을 위한 결의를 다졌다고 했다. 

한편 민산특별위원회는 과거 김영삼 전 대통령이 제5공화국 정권의 안기부와 경찰의 감시를 피해 등산으로 위장하여 산에서 재야인사들과 민주화 투쟁을 논의하기 위해 결성된 민주산악회 후신 단체이며, 예비역애국전우회 경기지부 임원들이 참석했다고 전했다.
