[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 18일까지 양주시 희망장학재단은 2022년 제16기 장학생을 모집한다고 밝혔다.

올해는 으뜸인재육성 분야 1명, 성적우수 분야 120명(고등학생, 대학생 각60명), 면학장려 분야 25명(고등학생 10명, 대학생 15명), 특기 분야 10명(중학생 2명, 고등학생 4명, 대학생 4명) 등 4개 분야 총 156명을 구분해 선발한다고 했다.

신청자격은 2020년 1월 1일부터 양주시에 주소지를 두고 거주한 자로 1가구에 1명만 신청 가능하며 분야별 중복신청은 불가능하다고 전했다.

참여를 희망하는 시민은 양주시 희망장학재단 홈페이지에서 신청서를 내려받아 양주시 희망장학재단(양주시 화합로 1457-40)으로 우편, 방문 접수를 하면 된다고 했다.

한편 양주시 희망장학재단은 오는 하반기 관내 중소기업 생산직 근로자 자녀를 비롯해 다자녀, 저소득층 등 3개 분야 장학생을 선발할 예정이며 상반기에 선정된 장학생은 중복 지원할 수 없고, 기타 자세한 문의사항은 양주시 희망장학재단 홈페이지를 참고하거나 희망장학재단에서 안내받을 수 있다고 전했다.

임충빈 이사장은 “매년 장학생들의 성적수준이 높아져 앞으로 양주시 교육수준에 대한 기대감을 갖게 된다”며“장학재단은 항상 다양한 분야에서 인재를 육성하고 지원하고자 고민하고 있으며 앞으로도 많은 학생들이 혜택을 받을 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다.
