[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강릉시농업기술센터가 지역 특색을 살린 농산물 가공품 개발을 목적으로‘농산물 가공기술 표준화 사업’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 국비와 시비 4,000만 원을 들여 표준화된 지역 농산물 가공품을 개발하며, 전문기관과‘농산물 가공기술 표준화 공정 연구개발 용역’계약을 체결하여 사업을 추진할 계획이라고 했다. 

강릉시는 이번 사업을 통해 지역 농산물을 활용한 과채주스와 지역 베리류 등을 이용한 가공품을 개발하고 향후 상품화를 추진하여 지역 농식품 경쟁력을 높일 예정이라고 전했다.

강릉시 관계자는“강릉 농산물을 활용한 농산물 가공품 품질향상과 신제품 개발을 통해 농산물 가공품의 경쟁력을 강화할 계획이다.”라며 “소비자가 만족할 수 있는 가공품 생산으로 농가 판로 확보와 소득 창출을 기대한다.”고 말했다.
