[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 12일 ‘제2회 턱거리마을문화제’가 동두천 광암동 다목적회관 광장에서 개막했다고 밝혔다.

턱거리마을 지붕 없는 박물관 사업추진단이 주관하는 본 축제는 2020년 순자문화제에 이어 두 번째로 개최하는 마을축제로 주민들이 직접 행사를 기획하고 진행하는 주민주도형 축제로 열렸다고 했다.

개막식 축하공연 이후에는 턱거리마을문화제의 특색인 여성들이 운구하는 상여 행진이 시연되어 많은 주목을 받았으며, 개막식에는 최용덕 동두천시장을 비롯해 정문영 동두천시의회 의장 등 많은 내빈들이 참석했다고 전했다.

제2회 턱거리마을문화제는 이밖에도 나눔장터, 마을 공유부엌 개막식, 턱거리 영상제, 마을산책 등 다양한 프로그램으로 주민들의 활발한 활동을 엿볼 수 있었으며, 특히 동두천에 띄운 소원등 프로그램은 현대사의 아픔을 겪으며 살았던 마을주민들의 아픔을 위로하고 문화 마을을 꿈꾸는 주민들의 의지를 담아 인상적이었다고 했다.

행사에 참석한 최용덕 동두천시장은 “주민들이 직접 만드는 축제는 특별하다”면서 “턱거리마을의 노력을 응원한다”고 밝혔다.

오는 11월 17일까지 제2회 턱거리마을 문화제는 공유부엌 음식체험과 턱거리 영상제 등을 진행하며 계속된다고 밝혔다.
