이번 행사는 시민들의 독서의욕을 높이고 독서문화 저변을 확대하기 위해 옥정호수도서관·덕계도서관·꿈나무도서관·남면도서관·양주희망도서관·광적도서관·덕정도서관·고읍도서관 등 8개 도서관에서 온·오프라인을 병행해 개최하며, 주요 행사로는 ‘너무 재밌어서 잠 못 드는 미술인문학’(옥정호수) 등 성인강좌 5개와 ‘유리병 속 세상(양주희망) 등 초등강좌 4개, ’박정섭 작가의 그림책콘서트‘(꿈나무) 등 공연 4개이고, 이외에도 그림책 아트프린트 전시, 블라인드북 대출 이벤트, 포춘쿠키 나눔 이벤트 등 각 도서관별 특색있는 행사가 펼쳐질 예정이라고 했다.

행사는 코로나19 상황 추이에 따라 비대면 방식으로 전면 전환될 수 있으며전환 운영시 사전 공지할 예정이고, 교육은 오는 9월 1일부터 30일까지 진행되며 참여를 희망하는 시민은 양주시도서관 홈페이지에서 마감 시까지 온라인 접수하면 된다고 했다.
