[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 27일 양주시 회천2동 새마을부녀회는 저소득 재가노인의 건강한 여름나기를 지원하기 위해 삼계탕 나눔 행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 나눔 행사는 연일 계속되는 폭염과 코로나19 장기화로 지친 저소득 재가노인의 건강 회복을 위해 마련했으며 정성스럽게 조리한 삼계탕, 밑반찬, 과일 등을 개별 포장해 비대면으로 전달했다고 했다.

김순선 회장은 “어르신들이 정성스럽게 만든 삼계탕을 드시고 올해 여름 무더위와 코로나19를 잘 견뎌냈으면 좋겠다”고 말했다.

홍미영 회천2동장은 “취약 노인의 건강을 챙길 수 있도록 이른 아침부터 봉사활동에 동참해 준 회천2동 새마을부녀회 회원들에게 진심으로 감사하다”며, “회천2동에서도 어려운 이웃들이 건강한 여름철을 보낼 수 있도록 관심을 가지고 적극 지원하겠다”고 전했다.

한편, 회천2동 새마을부녀회는 관내 저소득 재가노인 31가구를 대상으로 매월 3회 반찬배달 나눔 봉사를 실천해오고 있다고 전했다.
