[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 7월 2일 가평산촌학교에서는 귀산촌 산촌체험 교육 수료생을 대상으로 감자캐기와 쌈채소 따기 체험 및 바베큐 파티를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 감자캐기와 쌈채소따기 체험 바베큐파티 자리는 2박3일동안 함께 귀산촌 교육을 받은 학생들이 귀산촌에 대한 구체적이고 현장 학습위주의 교육에 매우 만족해하며 이번에 만난 교육생들과 계속 교류하고 소통함으로서 귀산촌에 한발 더 다가설 수 있는 친목의 자리를 원하는 것에서 시작되었으며, 약 12명의 수료생 참석하여 친목과 화합을 하는 의미 있는 시간이었다고 했다.

가평산촌학교 실습농장에서 무농약으로 키운 감자와 각종 쌈채소는 예비귀산촌인(수료생)들에게 수확하는 기쁨을 주고 이웃간에 농산물을 나누고 배려하는 마음을 느끼게 하여 가평으로 귀산촌을 추진하는 계기가 된다고 했다.

감자캐기와 쌈채소 체험 후 인근 펜션으로 이동하여 바베큐 파티를 즐기며 자연스럽게 귀산촌 정보를 공유하고 소통하는 훈훈한 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

한편 가평산촌학교 채성수 이사장은 "하지를 맞이해서 감자를 캐는 수확의 기쁨을 동기간에 돈독함과 농촌의 풍요로운 인심을 배우게 되고, 이런 일련의 시간들은 귀산촌과정에서 제 2의 고향으로 가평을 선택하게하고 함께 공부했던 수료생들이 가평에서 살 수 있는 이웃사촌으로 이어지는 의미와 도농의 교류의 장이 된다." 라고 말했다.

가평귀촌귀농학교는 2017년부터 농림축산식품부 귀농귀촌 맞춤형 교육기관으로 선정되어 현재까지 약 750명의 수료생을 배출했으며, 약 60여명이 가평군으로 귀촌하는 성과를 냈다고 했다.
