경기은빛독서나눔이사업은 독서코칭 프로그램을 수료한 어르신 독서도우미들을 어린이집, 지역아동센터 등에 강사로 파견하는 일자리 창출 및 지역 독서문화 활동 사업이라고 했다.

소흘도서관은 지난 3월부터 14명의 어르신 독서도우미 대상으로 1차 보수교육을 온라인으로 실시했으며, 사업 참여기관을 모집해 어린이집 11개소, 지역아동센터 1개소, 요양시설 3개소 등 총 15개 기관을 선정했다고 전했다.

2021년 경기은빛독서나눔이 파견활동은 코로나19 방역 수칙을 준수하며 진행될 예정이다. 어르신 독서도우미는 참여기관을 방문해 그림책 읽어주기 및 독후활동을 진행하며 2차 보수교육과 병행해 실시할 예정이라고 했다.

도서관 관계자는 “이번 사업을 통해 코로나19로 인한 정보취약계층의 독서문화 공백을 최소화하고 세대 간 교류와 공감의 시간을 보내길 바란다.”라고 말했다.
