[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난11일 선단동통장협의회는 대진대학교 정문 입구 교량~선단2통 마을회관 구간(약 2km)의 제초작업 및 쓰레기 수거 활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

채수정 통장협의회장은 “산책로 등에 잡풀이 무성해 마을 주민분들이 많이 불편했을 것 같다. 현재 마을안길도 순차적으로 제초작업이 진행 중이다.”라고 말했다.

양영근 선단동장은 “더운 날씨에도 이른 아침부터 적극적으로 마을 정화활동에 참여해주신 통장님들께 감사드린다.”라며 “선단동 가로환경이 한층 더 쾌적해졌다.”라고 말했다. 

한편, 통장협의회는 매년 여름, 가을철 마을안길 및 주변 산책로뿐만 아니라 관내 문화유적 등 환경 정비가 필요한 장소에도 꾸준히 제초작업을 진행하고 있다고 했다.
