‘유아 책꾸러미 지원 사업’은 시에 거주하는 만3세~5세 유아를 대상으로 월 1회 4~8권씩 책 꾸러미를 제공, 독서지도사가 월 1회 가정을 방문해 유아와 부모를 대상으로 30분정도 맞춤형 독서육아 코칭서비스를 진행한다고 했다.

경기도에서 진행하는 이번 사업은 무료로 진행하며 참여를 원하는 시민은 양주시 도서관 홈페이지나 경기도청 홈페이지에서 신청하면 되고, 기타 궁금한 사항은 도서관 홈페이지를 참고하거나 도서관정책팀으로 문의하면 된다고 전했다.

양주시 관계자는 “유아 책꾸러미 사업은 어려서부터 책을 통해 부모와 소통하고 책을 가까이 할 수 있는 평생 습관을 형성할 수 있는 계기를 만들어 줄 것”이라며 “유아 부모들의 많은 참여와 관심 부탁한다”고 말했다.
