[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 여성들이 안심하고 공중화장실을 사용할 수 있도록 2023년 상반기 공중화장실 불법촬영 민·관·경 합동점검을 실시했다고 28일 밝혔다. 

합동점검반은 가평군청 여성가족팀, 가평경찰서 여성청소년계, 가평군여성단체협의회 불법촬영 시민감시단으로 구성됐으며, 음악역 1939, 한석봉 도서관, 창업경제타운, 가평역 등 번화가와 유동 인구가 많은 지역을 중심으로 공중화장실 불법카메라 설치에 대한 합동 점검을 실시했다. 

이날 점검은 1차로 의심흔적 육안 확인 후 적외선 렌즈탐지기 및 전자파 탐지기를 활용하여 화장실 내 불법촬영기기 설치 여부를 정밀 탐색했으며, '가평군 불법촬영 합동점검반' 문구가 적힌 조끼를 입고 군민들을 대상으로 불법촬영 인식개선 캠페인을 실시해 불법촬영에 대한 경각심을 갖도록 적극 홍보했다.

합동점검 외에도 가평군은 올해 3월부터 불법촬영 시민감시단의 활동으로 월1회 관내 142개소의 공공화장실과 42개의 민간화장실 등을 점검하고 있으며 이는 불법촬영 상시 점검 체계 구축하고 디지털 성범죄에 대한 군민의 불안감을 해소하는 등 쾌적한 화장실 환경 조성을 위해 힘쓰고 있다.

민·관·경 합동점검단은 하반기에도 정기 합동점검 실시 예정에 있으며 지속적인 점검을 통해 불법촬영 범죄를 사전에 차단함으로써 군민과 관광객을 위해 안전한 환경을 만들 수 있도록 노력할 뜻을 전했다.
