[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 지난 3일 자동차 안전운행을 위한 불법튜닝 자동차에 대한 상반기 일제단속을 실시했다고 17일 밝혔다.

이번 단속은 가평군 교통과, 가평경찰서, 한국교통안전공단 합동으로 1개반 5명의 단속반을 편성하여 실시했다.

단속지역으로는 자동차 주차가 밀집된 가평역등 역 주변 공영주차장, 경춘국도, 주택가 이면도로 등 이다.

주요 단속대상은 등화장치 개조, 등록번호판 기준 위반, 안전기준에서 정하지 않은 구조 및 장치 등에 대한 불법튜닝, 화물자동차 판스프링 설치 등을 집중 단속했다.

합동단속반은 이번 단속에서 총 90여대를 점검하여 11건을 적발했으며, 그 내용을 보면 형사처벌 대상인 자동차 내부 격벽제거 불법튜닝 1건, LED 안개등 설치 2건, 번호판등록기준 위반 3건, 기타 철제범퍼설치 등 안전기준 위반 5건 등이며 이에 대하여는 원상복구 및 정비명령, 타 기관 이송 조치를 의뢰했다.

가평군 교통과장은 "자동차의 구조와 장치는 차량안전운행에 매우 중요하므로 운전자들이 항상 자동차 안전 기준을 유지하고, 튜닝이 필요한 부분에 대하여는 사전에 한국교통안전공단에 승인을 받아 달라"고 당부했다.
