[김준호 기자]  더불어민주당강원도당은 국민의힘 강정호 도의원이 임기가 보장된 민주평통 속초회장 사퇴를 요구한데 대해 유감을 표시하며, 본인의 선거법 위반 혐의에 대해 검찰조사에 성실히 임하기를 촉구했다.

한편, 지난 19일 국민의힘 강정호 도의원이 지역신문 기고 글에서 민주평통 속초시지역협의회장의 사퇴를 촉구했으며, 권성동 前원내대표는 비상근에 급여가 없는 명예직인 민주평통 이석현 수석부의장에 대해서 생계 수단으로 자리를 지키고 있다고 인격 모독적인 발언으로 사퇴를 종용했고, 결국 이석현 수석부의장은 사퇴를 했다. 

더불어민주당강원도당은 윤석열 정부는 문재인 정부에 대한 블랙리스트 수사를 하고, 다른 한편에서는 법률로 임기가 보장된 전 정부 기관장들을 사퇴시키기 위한 표적감사를 하는 이중적 행태를 보이고 있다고 지적했다.

민주평통 지역협의회는 평화통일에 관한 해당 지역의 여론 수렴과 평화통일 논의 활성화 등의 기능을 수행하는 기관으로 대통령직속기구이다.
