[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시 나안동 196-1번지에 들어서는 나안동 농협하나로마트 건립 관련 진입도로 개설에 대해 지역 주민들과 법적 분쟁이 지속되고 있다.

농협하나로마트가 들어서면 “지역 상권이 몰락하고, 주변 소규모 점포들의 생존에 걸림돌이 된다“ 주장하는 상인들과 ”진입도로 개설로 인해 인근 지역에 교통혼잡을 야기할 수 있다. 농협하나로마트 건립 조건부 허가와 개설 특혜 의혹이 있다“는 주민들의 목소리로 인해 대립이 해소되지 않았다.

농협하나로마트는 지난 12월 29일 기준 연 매출 100억을 달성한 좋은 실적을 보였으며, 농협의 지원으로 농.축산품 등에서도 좋은 가격 경쟁력을 보이고 있다. 

이에 농민들을 보호해야되는 농협이 농민들을 보호하지 않고 손님을 가로채고 있으며, 인근 상인들과 상권을 몰락시키고 있다는 지적도 나오고 있다.

한편, 동해 북삼동은 현재 동해시에서 두번째로 인구가 많은 지역이며, 아파트 단지까지 추가로 입주해 그 규모는 점점 더 커지고 있어 첫 번째로 많은 천곡동을 넘어설 것으로 예상하고 있다. 이로 인해 하나로마트 같은 대형 할인마트가 하나 정도는 있어도 된다는 주장도 나오고 있다.
