[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 13일 태백시의회는 의회 인사권 독립에 따라 2022년 의회공무원 12명을 대상으로 임용장 수여식을 가졌다고 전했다.

이날 행사는 코로나19 방역수칙을 철저히 준수한 가운데 의회 소속 직원들만 참석하는 등 간소한 행사로 개최됐으며, 의회 공무원들에게 임용장을 수여하고, 김천수 의장이 격려와 환영의 인사를 전하는 순으로 진행됐다고 했다.

이번에 임용되는 공무원 12명은 의회 인사권 독립의 첫 발을 내딛는 13일에 맞춰, 의회 소속 공직자로서 첫 발을 내딛게 됐다고 했다.

올해 의회는 지방의회 인사권 독립으로 의회의 역할이 더욱 커져가는 만큼 소속 공무원의 전문성을 강화하여 좀 더 깊이 있는 논의와 연구를 통해 시민들이 공감하는 의정활동을 펼쳐 나갈 계획이라고 했다. 

태백시의회 의장은 “오늘은 의회 공무원으로서 임용장을 수여한 첫날로 이 자리에 계신 한분 한분이 참으로 소중한 공무원이고, 우리 의회의 기둥이다”며, “앞으로 의회 공무원으로 자부심을 갖고 역량을 발휘해 맡은 바 업무에 최선을 다해 달라”고 당부했다.
