[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 10월 19실 양주시는 시 승격 18주년을 축하하는 ‘양주시민 화합의 장’ 제19회 양주시민의 날 기념식을 온라인으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 기념식은 제19회 양주시민의 날을 맞아 양주시민으로서 자긍심과 애향심을 고취하고 시민 화합을 도모하기 위해 마련되었고, 코로나19 사회적 거리두기 시행에 따른 감염확산 방지를 위해 기념식을 사전녹화해 양주시 공식 유튜브 채널 ‘626년 양주’에서 중계하는 방식으로 진행했다고 전했다.

이날 행사는 현재 양주시 홍보대사로 활동 중인 개그우먼 이수지씨와 덕현고등학교 1학년 최은진 학생이 공동으로 사회를 맡아 진행되었으며, 관내 11개 읍면동 시민대표들의 축하 메시지와 함께 남녀노소 다양한 계층의 시민들이 기념식을 자축하는 영상으로 문을 열었다고 했다.

서울 피스톨즈의 비트박스 식전 공연을 시작으로 김종석 부시장의 기념사, 이재명 도지사, 정성호 국회의원, 정덕영 시의회의장 축사, 분야별 유공자 표창, 시립합창단 특별공연, 양주시민의 노래 제창 순으로 진행됐다고 전했다.
