[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 14일 양주청소년문화의집은 한글날을 맞아 진행한 기획프로그램 ‘소중한 유산, 한글(소·유·한)’을 성황리에 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 575돌 한글날을 맞이해 관내 청소년을 대상으로 한글의 의미를 되새기는 활동을 통해 올바른 언어습관을 형성하고 한글에 대한 자부심과 애국심을 함양할 수 있도록 기획했다고 전했다.

사전 신청을 통해 관내 청소년 64명이 한글날 독후활동, 훈민정음 과거시험, 순우리말 책갈피 만들기 등 총 세 분야로 이루어진 프로그램에 참여하였으며, 은현면, 남면, 백석읍 등 원거리에 거주하는 청소년에게는 활동 물품을 택배로 제공해 더 많은 청소년이 편리하게 참여할 수 있도록 했다고 했다.

프로그램 참가자 주세아 학생(10세, 여)은 “‘난 한글에 홀딱 반했어!’를 읽고 나서 세종대왕님이 백성을 사랑하는 마음을 알게 되었고, 앞으로도 자랑스러운 한글을 계속 사랑할 것이다”라고 소감을 밝혔다.

양주청소년문화의집 관계자는 “이번 프로그램을 통해 청소년들이 한글날의 의미와 소중함을 일깨우는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 청소년의 필요에 맞는 프로그램을 발굴해 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
