[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시시설관리공단 이동지원센터에서는 교통약자 특별이동수단 안전사고 예방 및 이용고객 안전성 증진을 위하여 교통안전교육을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

지난 9월 28일~29일 양일간 우리 공단은 한국교통안전공단과 지난 2021년 6월 23일 교통안전사업 공동 추진 MOU체결로 교통안전분야 전문성을 활성화하고자 교육을 진행했다고 전했다.

이번 교통안전 교육은 코로나19백신 2차 접종 완료(2주 경과)를 대상으로 실시했으며, 교육 내용은 최근 경기북부 및 의정부시 교통사고 사례로 살펴보는 유의 및 준수사항, 이동약자 안전사고 예방을 위한 운전특성교정 및 운전인성교육 등으로 교통사고 위험 예측 능력 및 교통사고에 빠르게 대처할 수 있는 능력을 함양했다고 했다.

임해명 이사장은 “교통안전교육을 통하여 개인별 안전성이 향상되었으며, 지속적인 개선으로 임직원과 교통약자의 건강뿐만 아니라 의정부 전 시민의 안전까지도 최우선으로 생각하는 공공기관이 되겠다”는 의지를 밝혔다.
