[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 28일 새마을운동양주시지회는 광적면 소재 양주우리병원에서 새마을지도자 건강증진을 위해서 공동으로 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약에는 정영일 재단총괄이사, 오수영 직장·공장새마을운동양주시협의회장, 최태권 새마을문고양주시지부 회장이 참석했으며, 주요 협약 내용은 양주우리방병원은 양주시 새마을 소속의 모든 지도자들에게 입원 또는 내원 시마다 비급여 진료비의 20% 정도를 할인해 주고 그 외에 지도자들의 건강을 위한 상담을 지속적으로 지원해주기로 협력했다고 전했다. 

정영일 양주우리병원 재단총괄이사는 “새마을지도자들이 평소 지역사회에 앞장서 생명·평화·공동체 운동을 전개하는 것을 보고 깊은 감명을 받았으며 봉사하시는 새마을지도자분들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되고자 업무 협약을 체결하기로 하였다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 

한편 김용춘 회장은 “양주우리병원은 신축 건물에 최신시설을 갖추었는데 이렇게 우리 양주시 새마을지도자들의 건강을 위하여 파격적인 진료비 혜택 지원을 약속해 주어 너무나 감사하고 지도자들의 사기가 매우 고양될 것 같다”고 소감을 말했다.
