[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 25일 일동면주민자치위원회와 포천시여성예비군소대는 일동면에 거주하는 30명의 6.25 참전유공자 어르신을 포함한 90여 명의 주민들을 모시고 작은 음악회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 음악회는 6‧25 71주년을 기념하고, 참전유공자에 대한 예우와 희생에 대한 감사한 마음을 전하고자 개최했으며, 코로나19 방역수칙을 준수하며 어르신들이 좋아하는 민요 등 지역의 예술인 동호인을 중심으로 다채로운 무대 음악을 선보이며 많은 박수를 이끌었다고 했다.

6.25 참전유공자회일동지회 심한섭 회장은 “올해는 참전 71주년의 해인데, 어려운 상황에서도 위문 공연 행사를 통해 우리를 잊지 않고 아낌없이 지원해줘서 진심으로 감사하다”라고 말을 전했다.

김경자 주민자치위원장은 “나라를 위해 희생한 6.25 참전유공자분들이 계셔서 지금의 대한민국이 있다. 감사의 마음을 담아 공연을 준비했다. 모두 늘 건강하시길 바란다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.

이날 참석한 박윤국 포천시장은 “코로나19로 모두가 매우 어려운 상황에서도 참전유공자 어르신들을 위해 행사를 준비해주셔서 고마운 마음이다. 국가를 위해 헌신하신 6‧25 참전유공자 어르신께 깊이 감사드리며, 위로와 힐링이 되는 소중한 시간이 되기를 바란다.”라고 말했다.
