[김현우 기자 = 의정부] 의정부지방검찰청은 지난해 7월부터 12월까지 재판에 의도적으로 불출석 후 도주하거나 실형 선고 후 도주한 피고인 등 총 85명을 검거했다고 밝혔다.

의정부지검은 불구속 재판이 확대됨에 따라 2022년 7월부터 집중검거기간을 지정해 검거 활동을 지속했다.

불출석 피고인 전담 검거팀은 현역병 입영통지서를 받고도 입영하지 않은 불출석 피고인과 도로교통법 위반으로 재판에 불출석한 피고인에 대해 잠복 및 수색해 검거했다.

자유형미집행자 검거팀은 특수상해 등으로 실형을 선고받고 도주한 피고인과 사기 등으로 실형을 선고받고 도주한 피고인 등을 은신처 확인 후 잠복 후 검거하였고, 사기죄로 재판받던 베트남으로 도주한 피고인은 인터폴을 통해 검거했다.
