[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시 종합자원봉사센터는 지난 8월 27일 송내동 시민평화공원에서 시민 참여자 12팀 38명이 참여한 가운데 ‘2022년 동두천시 돗자리마당’을 운영했다고 전했다.

이날 참여자들은 부스에 돗자리를 깔고 집에서 사용하지 않는 도서, 의류, 인형, 장난감, 생활용품 등을 가지고 나와 시민들에게 저렴하게 판매했다.

또한 부대행사로 시 환경보호과에서 추진하는 ‘자원순환가게’에 시민들이 폐건전지, 투명페트병, 캔 등 재활용품을 가지고 나와 포인트로 적립하면서 자원순환과 탄소중립에 동참했다.

이날 참여한 안지원 학생(동두천여중 2학년)은 “평소 비즈공예가 취미였는데 이번 행사를 통해 손수 만든 것을 판매할 수 있어서 좋았고 적은 금액이지만 기부할 수 있어서 보람된다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

한편 다음 돗자리마당은 오는 9월 17일 토요일 오후 2시 송내동 시민공원에 운영할 예정이며 참여를 희망하는 시민은 동두천시자원봉사센터로 문의하면 된다.
