재단은 지난 1월 25일부터 2월 11일까지 시민 장학생 고교 학교장 추천 및 개별 신청 접수를 받은 결과, 접수된 209명을 대상으로 시민장학생 선발 이사회 개최 등의 심사를 거쳐 고등학생 76명, 대학생 84명 등 160명의 장학생을 최종 선발·확정했다고 했다.

2022년도 장학금 총지급액은 1억 8천만원으로 고등학생에게는 각 70만원, 대학생에게는 각 150만원을 학기별로 분할 지급하게 된다고 했다.
