[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시치매안심센터는 치매에 대한 부정적 인식을 개선하고, 치매 친화적 환경을 조성하고자 2021년 원주시노인종합복지관과 원주의료복지사회적협동조합에 이어, 2022년 평생교육원 학습관과 미리내 도서관을 치매극복선도단체로 신규 지정했다고 밝혔다.

치매극복선도단체는 기업, 기관, 단체 등이 신청 가능하며, 단체 구성원 모두 치매파트너 교육을 받고, 치매 환자와 가족이 안심하고 생활할 수 있는 환경조성을 위해 적극 동참하는 역할을 하게 된다고 했다.

원주시보건소 치매안심센터 관계자는“현재까지 9개 기관이 치매극복선도단체로 활동 중이며 앞으로 더 많은 기관·단체가 치매예방에 앞장서는 일에 동참해 줄 것을 바란다.”고 말했다.
