[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난3일 가평군 자원봉사센터소속 횃불봉사단은 자원봉사센터 사무실에서 소외된 이웃을 위한 “이웃돕기 물품 전달식‘을 진행했다고 밝혔다

횃불봉사단은 한동안 코로나로 인하여 봉사활동에 제동이 걸렸던 상황에서 위드코로나로 전환하는 시기에 맞춰 어려운 이웃을 위해 66사단의 의미를 맞춰 라면44박스 및 쌀22포대를 기증하여 어려운시기를 함께 이겨나가고자 하는 의지를 나타냈다고 했다.

횃불봉사단은 66사단 소속 군인들로 이루어진 봉사단체로써 주거환경개선, 연탄배달, 물품지원 등 지역사회에 따뜻한 온기를 나눠주는 봉사활동을 진행해왔으며 위드코로나 전환시기에 맞추어 어려운 이웃에 사랑의 물품전달식을 시작으로 본격적인 봉사활동에 시동을 걸었다고 했다.

가평군자원봉사센터 김금순 센터장은 “겨울이 성큼 다가온 추운 날씨에 횃불봉사단의 지원으로 더없이 따뜻한 마음” 이라며 “주변을 살피어 어려운 이웃들을 찾아 잘 전달하겠다”고 말했다.

횃불봉사단 이병렬 단장은 “모두가 어려운 코로나 시대에 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다” 며 “앞으로 어려운 이웃돕기에 횃불봉사단이 앞장서겠다” 고 말했다.
