부동산거래 전자계약시스템은 국토교통부에서 부동산거래의 투명성, 편의성 확보를 위해 지난 2017년 구축한 것으로 공동인증서만 있으면 컴퓨터, 스마트폰 등을 이용한 전자서명으로 간편하게 부동산거래 계약을 체결할 수 있는 시스템이라고 했다.

전자 계약시스템으로 거래 체결 시 실거래 신고와 확정일자 신고가 자동으로 처리돼 수수료 면제 혜택은 물론 별도로 행정기관을 방문해야 하는 번거로움을 줄인 점이 특징이고, 전자계약은 계약서 위·변조, 이중계약 등 불법 중개행위를 원천적으로 차단할 수 있으며, 공인중개사와 거래당사자 신분을 한눈에 확인 할 수 있어 무자격·무등록자의 불법 중개행위를 차단할 수 있지만, 해당 중개사무소가 전자계약 중개사무소로 등록돼 있어야 전자계약이 가능하며 전자계약 등록여부는 국토교통부 부동산거래 전자계약시스템 홈페이지에서 조회할 수 있다고 전했다.

전자계약시스템에 가입된 관내 부동산중개사무소는 381개소이며 2021년 10월까지 총 1,203건의 부동산거래 신고가 전자계약시스템을 통해 체결된 것으로 확인된다고 했다.
