[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시 일동면 경기행복마을관리소가 취약계층 돌봄 등 주민들의 든든한 지킴이 역할을 톡톡히 해내고 있다고 밝혔다.

지난 5일 행복마을관리소 지킴이는 자택 욕실에서 넘어져 수 일째 옆구리 통증이 있음에도 진료를 받지 못한 홀몸어르신을 모시고 병원에 방문했다고 했다. 

또한 어르신을 안심시키기 위해 자녀들이 도착할 때까지 어르신 곁을 지켜주어 훈훈한 감동을 더했으며,일동면 행복마을관리소는 지난 2019년 일동전통시장 내 개소하여 사무원 2명과 지킴이 7명이 매주 월~금요일 07시30분부터 23시까지 2교대로 일동면을 공공서비스 구역으로 근무하고 있다고 했다.

또한, 마을순찰, 학생 등·하교 지원, 취약계층 돌봄, 마을 환경개선, 생활 밀착형 공공서비스 등 일상생활에서 발생하는 소소하지만 불편한 사항을 처리하며, 행정과 주민을 잇는 가교 역할을 하고 있다고 전했다.

행복마을관리소 관계자는 “앞으로도 주민들의 불편사항에 귀 기울여 도움을 줄 수 있도록 노력해 나가겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
