[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도여성가족연구원과 강원도 여성친화도시 광역협의체 공동 주관으로 오는 6월 9일 오후 2시부터 강원도여성가족연구원 대강당에서 「2022년 강원도 여성친화도시 광역협의체 포럼」을 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

 

도시공간과 지역정책을 여성친화적으로 바꾸어나가기 위하여 여성가족부가 2009년 처음으로 여성친화도시를 지정한 이래 2022년 현재 전국 95개 기초자치단체가 지정되어 있다고 했다. 

 

강원도는 18개 시·군 중 2021년도에 지정된 태백시와 홍천군을 비롯하여 춘천시, 원주시, 삼척시, 횡성군, 영월군, 정선군  등 8개 시․군(44.4%)이 여성친화도시로 지정되어 있다고 전했다.      

 

그동안 유지해왔던 승급제 형태(1단계→2단계→3단계)의 여성친화도시 지정 방식을 변경하여 협약 갱신제로 변경(2022년부터 적용)됨에 따라 새로운 제도에 맞춘 여성친화도시 지정 기관 및 지정 준비 기관의 사업 추진이 필요하다고 했다. 

 

이에 여성친화도시 조성을 위한 5개 영역(성평등 추진기반 구축, 여성 경제 사회 참여 확대, 지역사회 안전 증진, 가족친화(돌봄) 환경 조성, 여성의 지역사회 활동역량 강화) 중 강원도 기초자치단체에 대한 사전 조사를 통하여 ‘돌봄 환경 조성’을 포럼 주제로 선정하여 추진하게 됐다고 했다. 

 

따라서 이번 포럼에서는 타지역 돌봄 환경 조성 사례 및 공간과 돌봄 환경을 연계하기 위한 다양한 제안을 공유함으로써 변경된 여성친화도시 평가 지표를 달성하고 완성도 높은 강원도 여성친화도시 추진 역량을 강화할 것을 목표로 하고 있다고 했다. 

 

강원도는 2020년 강원도 여성친화도시 광역협의체를 발족하면서 2025년까지 강원도 18개 시군의 여성친화도시 지정을 목표로 하는 강원도 여성친화도시 비전 선포에 따라 2020년부터 매년 여성친화도시 확산을 위한 다양한 사업 추진하고 있다고 전했다. 

 

코로나19로 인해 온라인으로 진행했던 2021년 포럼에 이어 올해는 대면으로 포럼을 진행하게 되어 한층 밀도 높은 논의가 진행될 것으로 기대한다고 했다. 

 

이번 포럼은 “지금, 여기, 모두의 돌봄을 만드는 강원도 여성친화도시”를 주제로 주제발표와 토론 등으로 구성되어 있으며, ‘공간과 돌봄, 어떻게 연결할 것인가’(장미현 젠더공간연구소 소장), ‘돌봄을 공유하는 권역별 여성친화도시 ON 브릿지’(이유미 경기도 의정부시 여성가족과 주무관), ‘여성의 사회참여 거점공간과 돌봄을 이어가는 마을사랑채’(김윤희 광주광역시 동구 여성아동과 계장) 등 3인의 주제발표에 대해 민연경 강원도여성가족연구원 연구위원, 임혜순 ㈜꾸림 대표, 최현정 태백시 사회복지과 여성가족계장, 허미영 강원도 여성청소년가족과 여성정책팀장 등 4인의 지정토론이 이어진다고 했다.

 

이를 통해 강원도에서 돌봄환경 조성과 관련된 강점과 약점, 기회와 위기 상황을 살피고 이에 기반한 구체적인 발전 방안을 모색할 예정이며, 이후 참여자 모두가 함께 하는 종합토론 및 여성친화도시의 성공적 추진을 위한 퍼포먼스로 포럼이 종료될  예정이라고 전했다. 

 

이번 포럼은 여성친화도시로 지정되어 운영 중이거나 여성친화도시 지정을 위해 준비 중인 시군의 요구를 바탕으로 주제 등이 결정된 만큼 강원도 여성친화도시의 발전 방안에 대한 현실적이고 구체적인 고민들이 오갈 것으로 예상되며 지역 성평등 환경 조성을 위해 다양한 활동을 하는 여성친화도시 시민참여단의 참여 신청이 많아 지역의 상황에 기반한 활발한 토론과 실질적인 사업기획이 만들어질 것으로 기대한다고 했다. 

 

포럼에 이어 ‘강원도 여성친화도시 광역협의체 워크숍’이 오는 7월 7일에 개최될 예정이라고 전했다.
