춘천시 시정부는 내연기관 차량 증가율은 둔화하고 있지만, 친환경 차량은 지속적으로 증가하고 있다고 밝혔다.

시정부에 따르면 내연기관 차량은 2020년 1분기 13만4,595대에서 2022년 2월 말 기준 14만917대로 증가율은 4.7%에 불과하며, 같은 기간 친환경차량(전기⸱수소차)은 680대에서 2,985대로 늘어나, 증가율은 무려 338%에 달한다고 했다.

이는 전기 및 수소 전기차 보급, 수소충전소 구축 등 시정부가 지속적으로 추진해오고 있는 탄소저감 정책에 대한 효과이며, 올해도 시정부는 친환경자동차 보급 최종목표를 2,632대로 계획하고 있다고 전했다.
