[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 29일 11시 속초시자원봉사센터는 속초시청 별관 대회의실에서 김철수 속초시장과 박주희 속초시자원봉사센터장, 7개 자원봉사단체장 및 관계 기관 내빈, 등이 참석한 가운데‘쾌적한 주거환경 만들기 및 연합봉사활동 발대식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 2022년 신규 추진 사업으로 국민건강보험공단 및 (사)강원도자원봉사센터가 공동으로 주최하고 속초시자원봉사센터가 중심이 되어 지역 내 도움이 필요한 이웃을 돌아보고 이동 세탁 차를 이용한 이불세탁과 연합활동을 통한 방역, LED등 교체, 기타 위생환경개선을 통해 쾌적한 주거환경을 제공함으로써 더불어 살아가는 나눔 공동체 환경을 조성하는 사회공헌사업의 일환으로 진행됐다고 했다.

본 사업은 국민건강보험공단의 사업비(약1,150만원) 후원과 물품 후원(이불 500장, 마스크 등 약 3,400만원)으로 운영되며, 사업 대상은 농촌지역 마을가구, 영구임대주택 저소득가구, 장애인·홀몸 노인가구, 취약계층 등이라고 했다. 

추진 기간은 3월부터 11월까지 총 9회(월1~2회)로 마을경로당 및 마을회관, 취약계층 등을 대상으로 자원봉사자들과 함께 이불을 수거, 세탁, 배분 하는 등의 활동을 통해 약 500가구(회당 50~60가구)를 지원할 예정이며, 기존 자원봉사 프로그램을 연계한 연합활동(이·미용봉사, 방역봉사, 경로잔치, 의료봉사, 집수리봉사 등)을 추가로 진행하여 폭넓은 서비스를 제공할 계획이라고 했다.

속초시는 ‘위생환경개선사업(사랑 실은 빨래터)’가 원활히 추진되어 자원봉사 활성화는 물론 지역사회에 대한 관심 제고 및 지역 내 문제 해결을 이룰 것이라 기대하며, 앞으로도 자원봉사를 연계한 사회공헌사업이 활발히 이루어질 수 있도록 적극 지원할 계획이라고 전했다.
